Millions of homeless pets are killed every year in U.S. shelters and despite the overwhelming stance that euthanasia via gas chambers is cruel and inhumane, it is still used to end their lives.

Euthanasia via gas chamber is cruel and inhumane period. Remember that story of that poor dog who was put into the gas chamber to be euthanised because there was no more space and no one wanted to adopt her well she lived and found many admires and a chance at a loving forever home. PLEASE END EUTHANSIA VIA GAS CHAMBER it's inhumane and never should be used

Signed. I'd like to see the end to euthanasia of unwanted pets and the requirement for licensing of unneutred animals with all licensing fees going for the care of unwanted animals. People have to take responsibility for their pets. Having a pet is a lifetime commitment. Yes circumstances change and people have to give up their pets. Check through your veterinarian or local shelter for help with adopting out animals.

For every action there is a reaction. According to the law of karma, if we cause

pain and suffering to other living beings, we must endure pain and suffering in

return, both individually and collectively. We reap what we sow, in this life and

the next, for nature has her own justice. No one can escape the law of karma.

Noted and signed. The method, certainly disagreeable, is one thing; another thing is the act itself. May we all do whatever is in our power not to let it come to this end at all, since every single animal deserves to live and find a good home. No-kill policy should be the main principle and adoption should be the main aim. I know, reality bites, but still there are way too many animals who die unnecessarily, which is not only deeply upsetting, but also something that calls for a change. This issue must be taken responsibly and treated with compassion.

I MEANT TO SAY: "WE MUST ASK FOR A BAN TO PUPPY MILLS/BACYARD BREEDERS. This is not only caused by irresponsible people but BUSINESS. Animals that are not sold, are thrown in shelters! This is gravy only for breeders. Tax payers , shelters and states have to pay for their destruction. LOST MONEY THAT COULD HAVE BEEN USED FOR B ETTER THINGS!!!! ASK FOR A NO KILL NATION TOO!!!

Noted and signed with sadness in my heart for all unwanted cats and dogs that nobody cares about and they end up in a gas chamber or some other gruesome way they are killed,so barbaric and cruel how they suffer, and it upsets me to think of them at the end of their life, most have never known love, kindness or compassion with no one to give them a hug and show them some love, breaks my heart to think about them.If only they could all be neutered/spayed then these poor innocent unwanted cats and dogs would'nt need to suffer.Thank you Cal.

Signed. When humans make ignorant or negligent mistakes with animals the human may be assessed some financial penalty but the animal dies for human mistakes. Dogs bring companionship, physical and mental balance, enlightenment to humans, teach us about compassion, loyalty and unconditional love. Animals in general provide the opportunity to help humans be better, greater and more loving -- yet, we humans who are so good at killing, seem only able to resort to killing that which we do not understand or that about which we have yet to learn.

Gas chambers used in animal shelters to kill our innocent animals is so very wrong. Its like they are being punished for being born. We as citizens have the right to end this. After all it is our tax dollars that are funding it. I just can't believe that it is even acceptable with the AVMA guidelines !! Please have your voice heard and speak up and raise awareness as I still believe many people do NOT even know this exists .
