The solution must not be for the US to be the world police again. Our economy is trashed by the war in Iraq. Too many of the lives of military individuals and their families are forever destroyed.

This should NOT be a surprise to anyone! It's been quietly reported for a long time.

If they didn't have oil in the South....these poor people MIGHT be ignored by their Muslim neighbors. Unfortunately for them....they DO have oil but lack the infrastructure to do much about it.

Finally, of course, they're Christians who had the balls to secede!
