This is really sad and frightening. There is no mention of victims being compensated - something our military had to fight long and for after exposure to Agent Orange.

All these studies revealing 'alarming' truths that really aren't that alarming given the nature of what they deal with. Regardless, it will still require legislations and laws and bureaucracy and red tape and general jumping through hoops to ban the stuff.

If the farmers health was caused by this and they know it now then they should all get compensation but it wont give them a new brain will it Governments just do what they like without knowing the consequences of chemicals No chemicals can be good

Farmers have long been told the these chemicals are safe even though it is known that they are not. Thank you for this post Cal. My grandfather and grandmother who were farmers here in New Jersey both got cancer from the chemicals they were talked into using. They were told that the chemicals were safe : (

Yes, everyone has been told, over and over, how safe these chemicals are. Just as we are now being told how the GMO food we eat is safe. Can't quite wrap my head around how people don't get that poison is poison, and eventually it all catches up with us. Thanks Cal.

We are rarely told the truth about exposure to poisons and chemicals. Chemical companies and governments hide the truth from us as long as they can, greed and $$$, they don't care about human life or the environment including animals. The problem of global warming is to be blamed on industrialists and governments worldwide, to them only the bottom line and their pay cheques matter. The health of our planet comes last for them and they should be held accountable before it is too late.

That's tragic.

It is sad that back in the day it was kind of "macho" to use chemicals and unmanly to question their use -- perhaps that is still true in part today.
