He is such an ignoramus. Why does he insist on punishing the poor and middle class in exchange for returning the tax rates to the wealthiest (as they were more fairly taxed prior to BUSH Ws cuts) Boehner's plan is to agree to tax the above $1 million earners, not $250K, who DO NOT NEED TO WORRY ABOUT RETIREMENT AND HEALTH CARE, and to impose losses of SS and MED for all of us! I still visit his WEBSITE TO LEAVE COMMENTS AS TO HIS NEED TO AGREE WITH OUR CURRENT PRESIDENT, WHO IS HIGHLY INTELLIGENT AND SO WELL VERSED ON THESE ISSUES. SHOW SOME RESPECT, BOEHNER. After all, this sort of pettiness never occurred when previous presidents requested their own tax plans be set in motion.

The middle class has already done more than its fair share of compromising and sacrificing. We bailed out Wall Street and the big banks, we've sacrificed with 10 years of BushCo Tax Cuts which distributed wealth upward, we've had stagnating wages for 30+ years, we've lost money for infrastructure and social programs due to corporate welfare via unnecessary tax breaks for the oil industry and other corporate cronies. Let the rich do the sacrificing and compromising for a change.

No cuts to our EARNED, DEFERRED income, no cuts to the social safety net.

People around the world hold Boehner and his ilk in well-deserved contempt and have a great deal of sympathy for the long-suffering American people.

Personally, I hope Obama sticks to his (metaphorical) guns and refuses to accept anything damaging to the American people and economy - he WON THE FREAKING ELECTION and these nutters are REFUSING TO WORK FOR THE TAXPAYERS WHO PAY THEM!

(Hear me shouting from Canada, Boehner? I'm disgusted and angry on behalf of the many wonderful Americans who are being victimized - I'm not even American myself!)

I feel like they're doing this for drama, they will definitely resolve this in time. For all we know it could be already resolved and the media is just holding off on telling us to build the suspense. After all, how could we know something unless the media tells us?

So, it looks like Boner's starting to cave. Glad Obama didn't accept his so-called deal. Let Boner fall off the cliff.

If "John of Orange" dares to touch Social Security,
Medicare or Medicaid he will be toast in the next
election.

Boehner's going to have to convince his tea party faction that they'll have to do better than that! The majority of voters have made it clear that they stand behind the President.

This is crazy. the people that hate George Bush are crying because they may lose the tax cuts he implemented. We should let the cuts expire for everyone and stop the spending that we cannot afford.

"We should let the cuts expire for everyone and stop the spending that we cannot afford."

Once again, spending is NOT the problem, John.

No deal is better than any deal that includes cuts to MediCare, MediCaid and Social Security. Cuts to Social Security are especially and spectacularly irrelevant..

I would trust boehner and the rest of the g o p pukes and teabaggers at all.

Let us wait until the new session, the 113th Congress, to tackle this "FAKE" fiscal cliff problem.
Least we all forget that boehner led the 112th Congress and it has been as thye worst Congress ever!

Don't let Obama sell us out on Our Earned Income just to compromise with Boner. Don't let Obama snatch defeat from the jaws of victory again. A bad deal is a bad deal. The GOP is corrupt so don't compromise with criminals. Do what's right by the country and what we elected O. To do instead.. It's inevitable that someday the GOP will regain power. It's time to plan where you want to be an ex-pat.

My petition needs 1,000 signatures in total. Let’s not be or act selfish towards one another. We could all share this group and petition with people we know. Here are the links below.
