Lovely, clever gesture that turned out to really make a financial difference to boot.

A very uplifting story. Random acts of kindness are one thing, but here is someone that's gone out of her way to make a difference...and she has!

So many people have gone out of their way to do what they can for the people of Newtown. It shows us how many caring people there are. I wish just a few people would step forward and say "I'm giving up my gun".

Wonderful - when people are grieving it's hard to know what to do or say and it sounds like Beth did a fantastic job of being there, listening and showing that she cares! Check her Facebook page 'The World Needs More Pie'.

May the creator bless Beth all the days of her life, for the kindness she has shown these people in there time of need. My son got me to make some homemade pies to bring to work. He works with a man who lost his son last year. My son always shares homemade food and pies etc. He says it makes everybody happy.
His co-worker who lost his son, just hugged my son so hard after having pie with him.
So maybe homemade pie, is love. He actually said that they all had a group hug with this man, who is still going through the grief process. My son just said to them, what did my mom put in this pies? They were made with love just like Beth's.

Bless Beth for her simple, love filled idea, that's giving comfort and much needed love in this time of grief.

why must it be the worst of human behavior that brings out and exposes the best in human behavior?

What a wonderful person she is. Also, all the other people who participated in the act of love and compassion.
