With delicious irony, Sea Shepherd has revealed that their newest ship, SSS Sam Simon, was built in Japan for marine research. The vessel was retired from service by the Japanese Government in 2010, has since been laid up in Shimonoseki, Japan, alongside

Thanks Cal for the link to the article. Kudos to Sam Simon for donating the money to refurbish the ship. Hopefully Operation Zero Tolerance will accomplish their goal of Zero kill by the Japanese whaling fleet and none of the one thousand Minke and 50 fin whales will be taken. Read and noted.
