Despite a recent rise in poverty, homelessness is down. One reason? Providing a residence for the homeless creates enough self-respect for them to deal with underlying issues.

They may be mentally ill or unemployed but treating people like human beings is critical to fighting the problem!

Good point Cal, Thanks for the posting. Hope some people work with people along side people who are homeless to get each man, women, and child a decent home and meaningful work.

Everybody deserves to have a roof over their heads, plain and simple. I only wish the problem of homelessness could be eradicated worldwide.
