Friday December 28, 2012, 9:09 am surprise here! Muslims in the north want oil from the (mostly) Christian south.

Recipe for disaster.

I have friends from South Sudan who have come to Canada for a safer life for the family of 7. During an interview at church, Charles was explaining how the south contains most of the oil, and prior to independence, it was shipped to the Muslim north and the profits were for the most part kept there. The Christian and Animist south saw little and poverty abounds.

Now that the south has become independent, the Sudanese are trying to take back what they feel is theirs --- the oil. This is a bad situation to say the least.
