Awesome. You would think that ethics, commonsense and forward thinking would dictate that bans like this should be standard practice globally, but no, it's an anomaly.

Why don't they focus on more dire things such as looking after that poor goat...I myself have several pets and use plastic bags daily for their poop and litter.

Great! New Zealand should follow the example, but after I closed the petition I created here and sent all the signatures to the PM, the reply was that they will not ban the use of plastic bags but people are being educated not to use the, which of course is not true. So much for green NZ
