Darden, the massive conglomerate that owns Olive Garden and Red Lobster, doesn't offer its workers paid sick days, even though studies show that two thirds of workers who don't get time off to recover come to work sick.

Noted and signed. Thanks Cal. If they can't let people stay home when they're sick, then I guess I'll just stop going until they do.

Instead of "When you're Here You're FAmily" Olive Garden ads should say "When you're Here You Get Sick"

Thanks for standing up for health and safety at Red Lobster and Olive Garden. Now help us turn up the heat on Darden by sharing this hilarious video from our friends at the Restaurant Opportunities Center on Facebook and Twitter and forwarding the email below to your friends. Thanks Cal.
I think that our now Senator Dick Blumenthal, while he was CT's Attorney General, worked to get state legislation passed requiring restaurants to grant employees sick leave.

don't think I'll be eating at these restaurants at least until they change their ways and take better care of their employees!

With the flu rising to the level of an epidemic so early in the season, it's more important now than ever to see to it that infected individuals are not handling other people's food! Shame on Darden! They have no concern for their employees OR their customers!
