I can but hope I'm not here when that sad and final call goes out that the last wild lion is gone...

I'm with you Ellen M a world without wild lions, elephants, polar bears or tigers is a world not worth living in.

And every day I see photos of people in Facebook posing very proud with dead lions that they just killed. I feel sick every time I see such images, women, families, even an old may on a wheelchair. We should be hunting the hunters so that these beautiful and magnificent animals can survive! Sadly noted Cal

In a few years there will be NO large animals in the wild. They will all be extinxt. We as humans are a sad sack of potatoes.

and its happening so quickly that it will all be over before any of the governments wake up and realize whats happening. imagine an Africa where there are no free roaming Lions, its like imagining America with no free roaming Wolves.

Sadly Jill that is a great fear here among those that know of it and care...
Unfortunately even with all the ways we get info nowadays, the number of people still totly unaware of the plight both here, in Africa, and around the globe is staggering...

Imagine all those people, upon hearing news of more extinctions will be shocked and wonder "how did I not know?".
And hindsight will not only be 20/20, it will be heartbreaking :'-(
