I hadn't given this any thought before but of course all these cars and motorbikes are playing havoc with desert lifeforms and polluting the planet at the same time. I didn't know about the archeological sites at risk in Chile and am surprised that their government didn't apply stricter regulation to protect their heritage. I've woken up to this problem and they must do so too and take action before it's too late.

Deserts are incredibly fragile and take centuries to "heal" after rallies like this one.

Racers look at deserts and see useless emptiness.

Environmentalists look at deserts and see fragile ecosystems which provide living space for many animals!

Who usually wins out?
