Ambien and its fellow sleep drug, will kill people. There are so many reports such as this.

i've used ambien for a few years along with follow up with my doctor every 3 months. i was basically told to stay in bed after i take it ... and not talk to anyone on the phone. i think either doctors don't tell their patients exactly what to expect or the patients don't want to use it correctly.

Some people are drowsy in the morning even if they take no sedative drugs, including alcohol. that said, it is not a good idea to drive while still affected by sleeping pills.

Noted, but I wouldn't trust anyone to take medication properly, which probably explains all the warnings that come with medications.

I can understand that, if you don't get enough sleep, you can be drowzy. But why in the world would anyone want to take a dose in the morning and then go to work? If work is that bad, they should get another job.

Well, at least something is finally being done. I've been reading and hearing about so many bad side effects from this drug. Never taken it myself.

I take "ambien" and have for years. The point should be made that while it's a powerful sleep aid, it requires a bit of responsibility. Almost EVERY single case of "sleep driving" can be traced to someone taking MORE than one tablet and forgotten about it. I've done it once or twice.

What I have made myself do is that immediately after taking it, I turn the cap upside down so I know I've taken it and won't have to try to remember if I have or haven't.
