Sharing with strangers is not unique to humans, according to a new study by Duke University anthropologists, whether it's motivated by altruism or affability.

Bonobos are so much like humans in many ways. That may be insulting for Bonobos but I mean the nice side of humans that we don't see that often. Very interesting Cal, thanks!

Watch most little kids and you will see this same behavior, and I imagine a banana is asimportant to a Bonobo as toys are to children...
And I would guess if one had more altruism in their side than the other it would be the Bonobo ;-)

98,2 % Of our genes are the same, but Bonobo's are ahead of us. We first have to go buy the banana...

I do not think they are buying friends! There is no agenda here!! They are just being friendly and generously sharing what they have.

WE (HUMANS) SAY THEY "BUY" FRIENDS WITH BANANAS....

but BONOBOS SIMPLY ALTRUISTICALLY "SHARE" WHAT THEY HAVE

THERE IS A BAD HABIT BY HUMANS TO ANTROPOMORPHIZE ANIMALS, i.e. TO COMPARE THEIR ACTIONS to HUMAN ACTIONS

BUT WE SHOULD LEARN FROM BONOBOS!!! ABOVE ALL because, contrarily to what happens among CHIMPANZEES, and MEN, BONOBOS ARE NEVER AGGRESSIVE!!!!

THEY SOLVE ALL THEIR TENSIONS JUST MAKING LOVE....

THEY are the HIPPIES among the PRIMATES: "TO MAKE LOVE NOT WAR!!!!"

We should follow their lead and love one another and share our bananas with our friends!

If people would learn from these animals, then maybe the world would not be so screwed up the way it is!

Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

Did we teach them, or did they teach us?
Now, the fun begins.
