What's next - factory farming of sharks for their fins, bluefin tuna for sushi? On Jan. 5th the associated press that a single bluefin tuna weighing 489 pounds sold for $1.76 million at an auction and was purchased by Tokyo restaurant chain Kiyomura K.K.

This factory farming is fueled by the desire to make a profit and the demand for the meat. As it gets harder to meet the demand from the harvest of the wild creatures, prices rise creating opportunities that both politicians and businesses find too profitable to ignore.

I believe that this must be outlawed or banned to stop it from happening, and that lawmakers will only pass these restrictions if we make a lot noise that they can't ignore.

Thanks Cal for the link to the article and the video. The Royal Governor can close the farm under his authority granted by the constitution and should do so immediately. Read, viewed and noted.

We have many many othe3r food sources. Don't eat these beautiful creatures. farming them onl will lead to their destruction in the wild as more idiots learn to like the taste of them. Perhaps it's time to put humans on the menu!!!!

UNACCEPTABLE. With all the food on this planet there is absolutely no reason for farming and eating these sweet adorable turtles. God almighty is no animal species sacred to man??? Mankind is a sorry sack of potatoes!!!!!

Incredibly disgusting and shameful. Farming

these beautiful wild creatures for any reason at

all is WRONG. Humans have gone absolutely

mad. Honestly, for this world to continue to

exist, for every living thing to survive on this

Humans are too many, we continue to ignore all

we are doing to damage our life-sustaining

planet Mother Earth, raping and pillaging her

for every single thing we can get, pollute her

lungs, poison her lifeblood, threaten to

extinction her wild children and molest and

sacrifice those we have domesticated ... for

nothing but profit and greed. Humans must stop

the enslavement of domesticated animals, the

outright torture and cruelty inherent in such

enslavement. Humans must stop worldwide

hunting of wild creatures, threatening them with

diminishing their genepool and extinction.

There must not be factory farming of wild

animals such as these beautiful, graceful and

unique sea turtles in the Cayman Islands. We

who care, must work together to stop this. I, for

one, will NEVER travel there, until and unless

their horrific sea turtle "farming" stops, now

and forever. My visitor dollars will never

support such evil.
