The enormous biodiversity of Ecuador's forests is under constant threat from the oil industry. The sell-off also threatens the lives and culture of the country's indigenous people.

Noted and "signed" with comment: "Indigenous people should have the right to their land and traditional way of life. A higher income often does not produce a higher quality of life but it just alienates people and adds to the rat-race. Anyway, it is time for all to develop truly sustainable sources of energy, such as solar panels and photovoltaic cells on rooftops. I also take this opportunity to state that biofuels are not ecologically acceptable and may be worse than fossil fuels."

Human Greed & overpopulation is destroying this planet Earth. If the Amazon allows the corporate & oil people to take over, the Amazon will be forever changed.

I am so sick of these big oil corps going into other countries like Ecuador, and because of their money, just take away from the indigenous people their land, culture and living.

How many Amazons, do these destructive people think the Earth has?

BIg oil won't be happy until there is no more oil to drill, at least not in this lifetime.
