I don't know this Dr Oz is nor do I wish to know, it says he is a respected public figure, sounds very much like a "celebrity" and nothing more. Does he not do any research on things he recommends or he is paid to encourage people to do this?

Thanks for calling on Dr. Oz to correct his misguided recommendation that health-conscious people buy palm oil while ignoring its disastrous impact on the environment. If we want to convince Dr. Oz and the producers of The Dr. Oz show that this is an important issue, we need for them to hear from as many folks as possible.

I don't believe that one individual can be held responsible for the destruction of these rainforests. I'm sure they were being destroyed long before Dr. Oz came into the picture. I would also suggest that Dr. Oz is only promoting palm oil for its health benefits. He does not promote any particular brand of product as another reader suggested. Therefore, I will not sign this petition because I don't think it's right to put the blame on one individual rather than the companies who are really responsible for the destruction of these rainforests.

First he said it didn't matter if you ate organic food or not, that there was no difference - and now this. It only confirms my earlier suspicions that he is not someone I would like or trust. I will sign the petition because this is a man that people look to for answers and he is giving them the wrong ones.

There is no difference in the benefits of the food regardless of whether it is grown organically or not. Organic is just a way of growing not a way of making the products more beneficial.

Horrendous; Dr. Oz will force consumers to contribute unwillingly to the destruction of the rainforst. First of all, he should ask for the consumers' opinion and realize there are people who care for orangutans, tigers, etc. He should correct the mistake he's made as soon as possible, i.e. right away.

wow so lad to see this as I just caught the end of this idiots show pushing this and was so angry...All he cares about is money and he is a joke with all this crap he lays on people like he really knows what he is talking about. I am a holistic Practitioner and I can tell you he does NOT get it and is just another one of Oprah's flunkies that are out there romancing the women with crap...........It makes me sick that people believe him just because he is a DR and is on TV. I wrote and told him what I think..........

Signed and noted thanks. Dr OZ cannot be trusted, we do not watch his "shows" anymore, everything he says is paid for by companies. One minute organic food is good for us, next minute it is not. Now palm oil is supposed to be good for us. It displaces and endangers the Orang Utan, destroys the environment of SE Asia and palm oil is unfit for humans consumption. Next thing he will recommend engine oil to his viewers because big oil would pay him. We liked him in the beginning, but he totally lost it chasing the $ !!! Greed by an actor who became popular and misused his popularity. Good bye Quack OZ.
