There are a few problems with this:
First, this isn't exactly an enormous campaign. It looks big, but check the numbers again: $118 million, to 102 organizations, over nine years. That's a per-organization grant of roughly enough money to maintain a full-time staff of three people at the U.S. median income. $118 million over 9 years, or about $13 million per year, sounds like a lot of money, but it's less than 1% of the funding given to groups which advocate action based upon belief in CAGW.

Second, the single most viewed blog online which opposes the narrative of anthropogenic catastrophic climate change has not seen a penny of donations. It is self-funding through ads, and funded by its owner, whose money comes from developing weather-modeling software for meteorologists. As a single Wordpress blog with over 5,900 sites linking in, (as compared to say, MSNBC's 25,000), one would imagine that such a cost-effective operation would receive funding, but it does not.

Third, the organizations which receive such funding, like those listed in the image beside the MJ article, are generally not one-plank advocacy groups. Their activism regarding the climate does not dominate their operations. Imagine if someone were to count every donation to the Democrat Party as one towards a "climate alarmism network" because it promotes relevant environmental policy.

They can't see beyond those dollar signs in their eyes. By allowing special interest groups and wealthy individuals to fund their favorite projects using the anonymity offered by Donor Trust, they are simply enabling and protecting cowards who know that what they're doing is wrong and therefore need someone or something to hide behind. Donors Trust and the Donors Capital Fund are as despicable as the people they protect. And I think it's safe to assume that they're paid handsomely for their efforts.

or shame, shame shame on them. Yet another instance of desiring private weath over the common good.
They should be very ashamed.

Noted. Thanks for posting this informative article, Cal.
Susanne got it right--it was set up to be used as a secretive funding route to channel nearly $120 Mil. to more than 100 groups to redefine Climate Change as a wedge issue for conservonuts. Koch and ExxonMobil, (as competitors), only acquired a fraction themselves. Fortunately, this info is no longer hidden. We can't fight against what we can't see. Sunlight is the best "disinfectant."

THIS is a recycled story...

This bit of "news" re: the existence of this group, was first revealed about 5 or 6 years ago..

Maybe many people were more distracted by the GFC and Middle East wars at the time, to take notice the first time 'round ?

The worst kept secret in the history of secrets. Anyone who did know this has had their head in the sand, you know the sand where the fertile soil used to be? Just watch as the next 20 years, each hotter than the last begin to produce potable water shortages everywhere. Maybe the billionaire boys club can buy a few icebergs for their castles, but that won't help long as the rising sea levels swamp them. I don't feel too bad about that part.
