N/S with thanks Cal. These 22 Republicans should be ashamed - I imagine that most of them are married, and maybe have daughters. The Violence Against Women Act is so important and should be the same in every state.

Signed and noted - I am pretty sure the Senators haven't got a backbone when challenged and their views appear to be mostly limited to whining about the "feminazis" or "femtards" on the Internet.

Anyone who has a senator who voted against the VAWA should be sure to boot him out at first opportunity. You can do better than that one. Petition signed, luckily both of mine have always voted FOR it.

When will we ever get people in Washington our government who really care about all of the American people?

Well, should be proud of Wisconsin, they Voted This Down.... BUT!!! Jumped right on the band wagon to ACCEPT Payments FOR the womens abuse rights to gather it as leverage for the DNA push for the Walker and the Republicans in the full power no-grid lock here...yes.... They can use it as a new against civil rights action... all riding on the backs of voting it down, but turning it for their own greedy benefit! isnt this some bullshit? Not going for women at all, But they lying about it and Sticking it to the Taxpayers and against Civil Rights! at the cost of 168,000 people illegally DNA tested without being proven guilty ...just arrest someone and then DNA test them.... held without bond... then charge the USA Taxpayers and The State of Wisconsin and Governor Walker Gets Paid by YOU ALL.... yea.... maybe you might want to speak out?

Noted and signed...thanks Cal. For the record, the 22 senators (all of whom are republicans) and the states they supposedly represent are as follows:
Barrasso (R-WY)
Blunt (R-MO)
Boozman (R-AR)
Coburn (R-OK)
Cornyn (R-TX)
Cruz (R-TX)
Enzi (R-WY)
Graham (R-SC)
Grassley (R-IA)
Hatch (R-UT)
Inhofe (R-OK)
Johanns (R-NE)
Johnson (R-WI)
Lee (R-UT)
McConnell (R-KY)
Paul (R-KY)
Risch (R-ID)
Roberts (R-KS)
Rubio (R-FL)
Scott (R-SC)
Sessions (R-AL)
Thune (R-SD)

If either of them runs for President in 2016, keep the votes cast by Marco Rubio (R-FL) and John Thune (R-SD) in mind.

Signed and noted. Great point, Thomas P. I believe that both Marco Rubio and Rand Paul have expressed an interest in becoming the next Republican presidential candidate. I hope they do end up running --not for the presidency-- but from hundreds of thousands of women have decided to run them out of town!

Hey ladies, anyone want to dress as Amazon warriors and storm the senate chamber while in session? Gents, you're welcome to join in too!

Failing that, there is always railway tyes, tar and feathers --- chicken feathers to make them look like the dumb clucks they are!

These are the cretins behind the War on Women (which they say doesn’t exist). They are also the morons who arrogantly think that they should have any say in women’s health issues (specifically reproductive decisions), even though they are the cause of the problems. What we really need to do is simply vote all of the sperm dispensers out of office, and get some sanity in government.

Signed!!! It really is appalling when it has to be politics over peoples' lives all the time. They really have lost sight on why they are there. They only see the money that is available in their eyes and forget who put them there.

As least one commenter has already said:

Plus, don't just vote but help your family and friends to vote. These troglobites only stay in office because people vote for them.

Lloyd H (46)
Monday February 18, 2013, 9:18 am
You can condemn them all you want but they will not even be embarrassed. Nor will any of the Repug/Tea Bagged in the House from Cantor on down who are to smart and gutless to leave their finger prints on a No Vote by simply refusing to bring the bill to the floor at all. They are believers in their Theo-fascist misogyny, homophobia and ethnic separatism and VAWA is in direct conflict with their Bible Humping lack of brains.

Hmm, would like to know why they voted against it instead of just mindlessly signing a petition. I fail to understand why women need such extra protections anyway. Makes us seem like a bunch of helpless wussies who can't take care of ourselves. Not to mention the sexual discrimination involved.

Petition signed.

Those 22 senators should have their entrails ripped out, burnt and fed to the buzzards.
Then, their carcasses taken behind the woodshed to the outhouse and have it dumped
into the crapper to rot slowly forever.

rubio, supposedly a potential golden boy of the g o p puke party, drinker on TV of "hydration" fluids,
did not sign this. The women voters need to remember his "nay" vote on the Violence Against Women Act.

Ty, Cal.

Thanks Cal. I've signed so many petitions regarding this issue. Will it make a difference? The only thing these people understand is campaign donations from big corporations and gerrymandering voting districts so that they can stay in office and continue to wield their power no matter what! Joe Biden said that in his world travels as V.P. he spoke with leaders all around the world who considered the U.S. to be their role model when it came to women's rights issues. We need to get this country back on track, I'm so ashamed to see this bill floundering in Congress.
