Will the president pick a public interest-oriented policy wonk or a former telecom lobbyist/Obama fundraiser to chair this all-important agency?

My guess is, whoever he picks will be corporate and intelligence community-friendly.

Thank God Genachowski's gone. He was the most destructive force ever, even worse than Colin Powell's worthless son.

Back in the before times (70s and earlier), the FCC was actually useful. Nowadays it has become a dragging boat anchor. Best solution would be to remove FCC's authority concerning the Internet entirely and restrict them to regulating four letter words and nipple flashes on broadcast media; I distrust them on the Internet and consider any BHO pick to be a defective and contentious interest in censorship and fraud by the liberals. If they can't be trimmed to fit such reduced service, just dissolve them like we should do with the whole alphabet soup bowl of agencies, departments, and bureaus; most in need of abolishing are the BATFE, DEA, FEMA, DHS, and TSA!

Is big money trying to take control?
Let's face it if they could control Care2 it would take a lot of pressure of them.
