Under proposed legislation, money would not reach affected communities until at least a year after drilling begins

There's got to be an immediate ban on fracking and pipelines in America - heavy fines for those who are affected, not just taxes!

Too bad Illinois isn't smart enough to ban fracking

Fracking is so wrong for IL. The environmental degradation is long term & permanent. Quality of life will be destroyed. The risk of a catastrophic earthquake will be dramatically increased. It's just not worth it.

Most Chicagoans don't want fracking whereas the downstate citizens do because of the jobs. They gave no vision of the futture when fracking ruins the environment and our state is destroyed. They could have so much in organic products, solar power, wind power, and tourism but no they want things spoiled.
