Climate campaigners should be given a medal for their outstanding bravery and public service, not prison sentences....

Well it concerns money as usual and is the easy way out so they are taking it Will be a lot harder to get green energy for the amount needed but its the same old story The people making the decisions wont be alive when the worst damage from climate change is happening

Another example of the world turned-upside-down. Long live the eco-warriors; long live humanity; here's to the world right way up!

Subsidizing anything is wrong (gas exploration, GMOs, etc.) since it unnaturally weights the playing field. The gross problems that have resulted from these activities have only had such scope because the activities have been subsidized - by the very organizations (governments) that people are petitioning for help. Do you see the irony/futility of that effort?

These companies need to be made to obey existing laws. If companies have spills or ruin land, they should have to pay real damages - every time. They would already be out of business. Instead, the profits remain private, but the losses are borne by the public. Read "Imperial San Francisco" if you'd like some illustrations.

Human beings have always persecuted and even murdered heroes. History is full of martyrs. The only difference between now and then is that we have world-wide communication, and it's harder to do their dirty deeds and persecute these people in secret. Small consolation.

Fascism has overtaken the UK, as well as the U.S. The 1st step to solving a problem is to name it.
