Once heralded as tidy way to clean up spreading slicks, the chemical agent has proven toxic for sea life--and humans.

I wonder just how much this administration was willing to accept from BP so they just could walk away?

Stupid for the gov to allow it's use when plenty of safer options were available. When BP refused to use another method...the gov should have given fair warning and then shot down the planes like any other common terrorist. The devastation Corexit and the spill made on the region in incalculable. Any living creature swimming into the gulf is now at risk in this dead zone. I'd never eat seafood from this region.

Who was it, Kevin Costner who came up with a better and non threatening solution....not surprised of this news, but saddened!

read and noted on 4-23-13 this is the biggest cover-up in history and it all comes down to greed on the part of bp oil company you mean to tell me that they were not aware of this problem someone or somebody was paid off to look the other way we as a nation should no longer be drilling or using any means of oil there are cleaner and more user friendly products out there we need to stop destroying our environment and wildlife and by all means our waters these greedy oil companies need to disappear forever they are accidents waiting to happen and we can not afford anymore accidents of any kind right now enough is enough we do not need nor want your business of any kind.

Thanks, Cal. Signed petition found within article to ban Corexit.
This is absolutely horrendous. What struck me was learning that crude oil becomes 52 times more toxic when combined with Corexit. Didn't NOAA or any of the other alphabet soup agencies know this before allowing its dispersal?!
