Scientists found that 34% of animals and 57% of plants will see over half of their habitat lost by 2080 if temperatures rise 4 degrees Celsius above the pre-industrial average.

habitat loss has been a huge problem anyway due to human population growth and urban sprawl. adding further reductions due to global warming is compounding the problem. extinction is forever.

more people need to do Meatless Mondays, or better yet meatless everyday. even more than transportation this is one of the best things any individual can do to reduce their carbon footprint.

Bill K. : Spot on. 18% of all greenhouse gas emissions are down to livestock production.
(All forms of transport - cars, planes, trains etc. - combined amount to 13%)

If that wasn't bad enough we could see a substantial increase in the size of the livestock industry in the next 30 - 40 years.
Something which will totally undermine efforts made towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions i.e. green energy and green transport etc.

So Sad. Thanks for the information. And... what's up with the photos of the half naked girls I am seeing when I click on the stories to read them? You already have the attention of the men interested in the topics, so you don't need to "bribe" them in such a useless, senseless way, and this kind of propaganda just pisses women off as it is COMPLETELY unrelated to the stories we are interested in and only makes women appear as playthings. Please stick to the subject and keep photos of these girls off your site. It cheapens and demeans the good you are trying to do.
