In an unusual bid to stop a series of dams that will flood their rainforest home, a group of tribesmen in Borneo are urging King Harald V of Norway to call one of his subjects home.

I hope they win too. And again, DAMN THE DAMN DAMS!

If I was the Viking developer, I'd buy out the current government, sell it back to the leaders of the eight villages involved, and let the villages help place the dams to mutual benefit and minimal forest damage. Yes, I'm a former Norseman who will never go back because I hate the current socialist government. 'Cradle to grave' mediocrity is unacceptable.

This situation is surprising because Norway is one of the most ecologically aware countries on the planet.

Dams give life and at the same time also kill existing lives.

Where is the petition to stand in solidarity with the Penan before King Harald V of Norway. The raping and pillaging of the land at the expense of the indigenous people is unacceptable.

Thanks Cal - Why not start a petition to the King in support of the Penan request?
