With so much uncertainty about the future, we will rely more than ever on our Social Security benefits. That's why now is the time to build upon the one retirement security system that we know we can count on.

I signed - and I fear that my future is going to be short-circuited by the right wing deviants - I may well find myself on the street thanks to these abhorrent vicious republicans that have no respect for the people that worked to keep them so 'solvent"!

Good luck, looked up the Prognosis. They are 1% chance of getting past committee, with a 0% chance of being enacted.

The big problem is that Republicans cannot understand what SS means to those that are not rich. The GOP does not even WANT to be able to relate those that need SS benefits. They are WILLFULLY CLUELESS, just the type of representatives we CANNOT AFFORD. Please Remember this at the next elections. We can't afford to have short term memories on these issues.

If the rich can profit on the back of the rest of societies, then the rest of societies need some help themselves...

This would actually help the economy - instead of scrimping and trying to decide between buying groceries or paying the electric bill, seniors could actually travel more, buy more. Of course, the GOP will never see it that way.... signed anyway.

Social Security should be the ONLY retirement plan for members of Congress, and Medicare the ONLY health care they qualify for if over 65 and Medicaid if under 65.

Additionally, social security taxes should be collected on 100% of income.
