German brewers have warned Chancellor Angela Merkel's government that any law allowing the controversial drilling technique known as fracking could damage the country's cherished beer industry.

It is our demand for oil and its' by products that makes fracking happen in the first place. If we reduced the amount of oil we used, maybe by using our cars a bit less, heating/cooling our homes a little less etc then there wouldn't be the demand or the huge profits to be made by companies who carry out fracking.
