My name is Luke and I am 9 years old. Nestle, the biggest food and beverage corporation in the world, is trying to bully our community into a 45 year long contract for our natural spring water in rural Maine

Wouldn't it be easier to let people know it's not spring water but rather heavily treated residential water - and wouldn't it be better to tell people that the town has been sued because it gave permission to build a well but the denied it permission after a factory was built?

John has a point, if people didn't buy bottled water, Nestle would not be in this position. I doubt the town really understood that Nestle is the biggest, baddest food broker on the planet, and when confronted with people concerns they do have a long standing reputation for crushing those that dare mess with Nestle.

And....when you pay for that bottled water, in plastic - remember that it is just local tap water in a plastic bottle.
That makes you a sucker, adds to the tons of plastic waste and makes bottling companies very rich.
Petition signed.

If you need to carry water, buy a Bobble - no BPA, has an internal filter for the tap water, can be recycled and one bottle can be used 300 times. At about $8.00 a bottle you save money.

Signed. Privatized water is a disaster waiting to happen. We must avoid privatization of water or we will have wars over water...and that might happen anyway.

Pretty soon the big corporations will be selling us oxygen, or more likely take out a patent for oxygen with their company created "additives"! Corporations are so out of control with their greed, and they will be the end of us, unless we, as a society, put them back in their place with strict regulations that stipulate corporations are NOT people, corps. should not allowed to contribute to elections, campaigns or candidates, corps. must pay taxes with no loopholes; no incentives or subsidies for companies already established in their specialized industries, corps. should not be allowed to hoard cash or do stock buybacks while their employees are laid off/terminated, and no corp. should be allowed to terminate American employees while at the same time the company is building new factories and hiring new employees in India, China or Latin America.
Sorry, Cal, I guess I got carried away with this petition and the evils of greedy corporations!
