TAKE ACTION NOW! The California Rehabilitation Center in Norco: Prison to Not Be Allowed to Rid Grounds of Feral Cats

Animals  (tags: animalwelfare, animalcruelty, death, cruelty, feral cats, animals, animaladvocates, cats )

- 1042 days ago -
At California Rehabilitation Center in Norco, the alleged target is not the inmates. It's the cats. Some current and former prison employees are accusing administrators of handing the feral cats -- more than 100 of them -- a death sentence.

I understand there is going to be a demonstration by the prison to save the cats. If you live close enough you certainly can find the information online. I wish I could go.

Noted & Signed with this comment: When prisoners go to prison as a society we are all better off if when they come out, they are much less likely to commit crimes again as they’ve been rehabilitated and can empathize with other people in their community. The cats are helping this process as the criminals themselves have said that they we’re beginning to become more hard core criminals until they started interacting and taking care of the cats! The cats are therapeutic for these prisoners and thus they are enabling thes criminals to feel empathy again for others and lead productive lives! Please let the cats stay and permit feeding of them. They are helping these prisoners!

It's a prison, get some GSD's to guard the place.

Mistreatment is a common complaint at prisons but at the Rehab Center in Norco, CA the alleged target is not the inmates. It's the cats. Some current & former prison employees are accusing administrators of handing the 100+ feral cats a death sentence.

Thanks for your leadership on this issue Cal. I guess there's glitches in the C2NN publishing system.
