So sad. Malala is a smart, admirable girl whom I hope can work through this and triumph with other girls she is leading the way for.

Let us hope and pray that this "girl rising"rebellion gets the publicity and support it deserves and needs to go global and improve the plight of females. People are becoming more aware of the problems and dangers facing female children and it is encouraging to see these girls are having the courage to stand up for themselves and support each other accross the social divide. Even their families are getting the courage to change their views about certain issues. The world much give them the help needed to achieve rights.

She's amazing. The film of her speech on Friday is really worth a watch, if you haven't seen it already.

Thanks, Cal.
