INDONESIA has confirmed it will stop issuing visas on arrival to Iranians after a growing number of them have been caught smuggling drugs or have used the country as a transit point before seeking asylum in Australia.

Read and noted. This won't be the only country to start tightening its visa policy. Agree with Colleen L.
Thank you for the info.

Thanks Cal. Being a Western Australian who has the boat arrivals happening every day at the moment this is a good thing. People who are doing the right thing and applying through correct authorities sometimes have to wait up to six years because of the boat people to arrive in Australia it is not fair. The other thing is that our navy does not wanted to turn back boats that are in poor condition. The navy also stated that the crews of the navy vessels need support after rescuing boat adults and children from sinking boats and finding the bodies. It's good to have some help to try and stop the flow.
