small change.
The impending environmental Holocaust will cost homo dodo just about everything it has ever achieved

I has already cost us and I and probably more than mentioned above.

I find this article to be fairly accurate and I think the predictions could be even more costly. Droughts, flooding, storms will cause massive problems for the whole globe. Though it figures that some are only interested in the potential harvest of more fossil fuels.

As I've mentioned the tax-payers are footing the bill - let's go by "party" - charge those who are responsible - and give a break to those who have been crying out against the global warmers!

These costs are just more "subsidizing" corporations responsible - besides these same corporations are probably already designing lake-front spas and hotels right there in the arctic.

It's so much more than money!

It will ''cost'' us the world as we know it.

News flash - Earth is not unchanging. Paris was once rainforest, the Sahara was ocean. Such "damage" as melting ice or released gases has been occurring all through the earth's history and continues today. One volcanic eruption can release more tons of CO2 (which plants love, by the way) than any human scale events we are troubling ourselves with. Sure, monitor the changes if you like. However, we must adjust to new realities as they arrive just like humans always have. It's nature's way.

I think there's truth in every post here, including "Sara" and Davids.

Where I live on one of the deepest alpine lakes in the world, at the bottom, there are trees, a virtual forest of them, at several thousand feet deep.

I know we are adding to global warming, but, are we the ONLY cause?

Thanks for the info Cal.

Famine, pestilence, resource wars: few will think economic issues of much import when the consequences of climate change get bad enough. Most species that face mass extinction don't have the capacity to see it coming...apparently, our species is no better.

The rate at which we've accelerated this thoughtless messup of the world, no amount of money will be able to fix. We are on a downward spiral to self extinction, all at our uncaring, selfish & greedy doings. Just feel very sorry for all the animals who we are supposed to be looking out for.

I've been watching a lot of Doctor Who lately, and reading this article almost makes me feel like I'm trapped inside one of those episodes....except it's not aliens slowly exploiting and destroying Mother Earth, it's greedy, cold-blooded humans plotting to get their hands on bundles of money. Mortifying!
