Well over half of the states in the country are directly funding "crisis pregnancy centers" (CPCs), right-wing groups that pose as nonpartisan health clinics while advocating for an anti-abortion agenda.

Very sad - we must be ever vigilant against the right wing wackos.

While other Countries are doing what they can to pass out factual information to improve their citizens life in the reproductive area and basic hygiene ours continues to want to push our citizens and women back to the 1800's.

This is all about power my dear Sisters. Knowledge is the key, ignorance is where these mostly white men and a few misguided women want to keep you.

For an upbeat reminder check this out. Don't go backwards.

It is a shame that women in America do not have the information that they are used and mistreated by their government and the whack jobs that were voted and maybe they voted into office. You would think this was the Middle East, Africa or Asia

It is hard to believe 34 states are that stupid and that mine is one of them. We are not a red state though we were briefly taken over by the tea party for one biennium. I did not know how much those b*stards got into law during their brief tenure. We have work to do here and this is a pretty liberal state, I shudder to think what is happening elsewhere.

Why am I not surprised? If it has anything to do with politicians, anti-abortionists, government agencies or others of that ilk, we should know what they tell us is false. This will soon no longer be a free country and the name will have to change to something like "The U S of Government", "US of no Freedoms" or such.

Politicians find more ways to spend OUR tax dollars on stupid stuff, then pretend to care about the deficit.

What happened to the free US? Sadly noted.

These groups are funded by the same people who scream about having their taxes pay for contraceptives, etc. The level of hypocrisy is almost too high to bear.

Matched only by the government taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood ... balance and counterbalance. Two wrongs don't make a right.

I live in one of those right-wing nutjob-run states, unfortunately, and I can easily believe all this to be true. The men in power (who have no business *legislating* a health matter) have been doing their best to ensure abortion, and any other liberal cause, is dead in the water.

It's sad what this country has come to, in that respect.

So sad to think that people who are suppose to be taking care of important matters, are just screwing around doing nothing. I wish all of them would lose their jobs and be replaced with one who really do care. Thanks Cal

Excuse me, did you say that the MAJORITY of the states have sold out and actually funding the lies that their constituents get shoved down their throats?

A shower of stars to all, especially Dandelion who gave me my new mantra: "I am no longer accepting the things I cannot change - I am changing the things I cannot accept." And this is unacceptable - we women need to let the mental midgets running things that this will never ever do. Last time I looked, there were more of us than them and we know we are more intelligent, right?

Dandelion, thank you for the link.

Arielle, thank you for the wisdom.

They say "less government", but they always show us they want more control of our lives. They want us all to believe their ideology without any facts or truth to support this ideology. I fear America continues down its idiocy spiral.

Considering the scope of this assault on women, some of this "funneling" of money is surely being supported and facilitated by women. It's too bad they allow themselves to be controlled by men --whether politicians or men of the cloth. There IS a war on women in this country, and I'm sad to say that many women are working for the enemy. You have to wonder if these women actually care about their daughters and granddaughters...

You're right, Susanne, there are many working for the enemy (thank goodness we have some men who are intelligent and compassionate!) I don't know why there are women who refuse to see this for what it is - I fear they will get smart too late.
