Around the US, many children are getting ready to head back to school. But for hundreds of thousands of Syrian children forced to flee from the violence in their country - school isn't an option.

The focus on Syria has been overshadowed by the Egyptian crisis. Thanks for this, Cal. Signed.

Signed and noted. Thanks for sharing, Cal. It probably won't do much good, though. That area of the world is so messed up anyway.

What is it with these dictatorships! All need be done is kick Bashar Al Assad's ass out. Sick of these self appointed leaders who think they own the earth.Where is the UN ,come on Ban Ki Moon, wake up & smell the stench of death. What destruction, pain.Women & children have to always bear the brunt of madmens brutality. It is heart wrenching to see the sheer magnitude of misery. So sad.

It's 2013 and whilst I respect the cultures etc of other countries I feel that nothing has really been done to bring our world towards peace. America brags on being the leader in everything so WHY have our voices since the 1960's gone unheard? OR HAVE THEY?? World Governments have seen people protesting in the streets for decades and STILL there is no real move towards peace, just alot of talk. Well it's time for governments to now WALK THEIR TALK AND TAKE ACTION....not for war, FOR PEACE!!!!!

What about Palestine? They have been waiting for much longer, Most people living there today have never know peace.

I don't like war of course, but I have no idea what governments and/or other entities are waiting to stop this madness, it's been what 2 years? Cannot believe it, and women and kids are the ones to suffer the most as always!!! How frustrating!!!
