Every delay is a plus sign for no pipeline. We can't slow down though or Obama, and others, willtake that as a sign of weakening. Noted with thanks.

Call me a cynic, but I keep reading that they're building portions of that pipeline anyway....so it seems that when it's time to connect the pieces, there won't be much left to "approve."

Well, at least someone is paying attention to us! I agree with everyone that we must keep plugging, though.

And, yes, Lois, they are still building it, and my dream is that they get it completely finished and then turned down, and they are required to dismantle it piece by piece at their own expense. And replace everything. It would serve the arrogant b*****ds right. Sure, I'd rather they had waited, but since they didn't...

They are cynically hoping that if they drag the process out long enough that everyone will have grown distracted and thus this nightmare will go through will little more than a peep out of the people. We not only have to keep the pressure up...we have to increase the pressure. We cannot let this abomination happen. We need to pour support into the #tarsandsblockade ; keep this issue in all media; hold more direct actions, marches, and protests; and make it clear: #NOKXL .

Of course I'll keep signing petitions & sending letters of protest, and even signed up for "civil disobedience,"....all must continue to protest. But, any way we can slow down those building the "legs" will be significant.

Thanks... Any reprieve is better than none! I am sure none of us will give up bombarding them with letters and petitions. Those of us who pray must PRAY hard, as to beat a huge corporation it takes a miracle!

Delaying it until after the election, looks like writing on the wall to me.

Please, Mr. President! Listen to the scientists (not the fossil fuel whores) and kill this time bomb already!

Good! Perhaps it'll just fade away. It's obviously the most hated idea of the past decade!

How convenient, no decision which favors one side or the other ... chickenshit politics, stand up for something and make a final decision.

Sorry, I can't believe much of this. There was no enviromental study done prior to this agreement? If there was not, it just shows the Canadians and this administration in an ever worse light-if that's possible.

Noted. If it need be, a delay is better than nothing.

Dozens of oetitions against this pipeline has already answered. Big Oil doesen't want to accept NO NO NO and if they can drag on long enough people may forget or No voters may die. or they get lucky and get 1 yes which they would jump on like a duck on a june bug. Sounds like their plan to me. I WILL NOT FORGET.

Aside from this article, I heard on the news over the week end that the Xl Pipeline decision has been postponed until 2014.
But this simply means that must continue to be diligent, our work is not over. We must continue to sign petitions and share them with others. Call congress, and the White House. We can not afford to let our guards down. Let everyone know how bad fracking is & if they don't think it applies to them, remind them that it will effect their future generations. Noted, signed & shared.
