Hopefully, he'll end all those tar sands shipments that are presently crossing the country by rail while he's at it...if he intends on doing anything beyond talk about climate change.

According to "FAIL: How the Keystone XL Tar Sands Pipeline FLunks the Climate Test"

"Oil industry proponents claim that Keystone XL would increase U.S. energy independence, but the reality is
that Keystone XL is a pipeline through, not to, America. Keystone XL would deliver tar sands to America’s leading export refineries." The report goes on to state that after the tar sands have been refined in American refineries, the oil will be exported to Europe and Latin America.

Why should the U.S. be complicit in this filthy, environmentally-disastrous operation when it will only benefit the oil industry? It's going to affect everyone in a negative manner --by polluting our air, speeding up climate change, and threatening our water supplies-- yet so many politicians are promoting it. We don't need to ask ourselves why they're promoting it. We need to ask ourselves why we're not stopping them! If we don't say "no," we're saying "yes"!

The plans for expansion (there are far more transport plans than KXL) include development numbers more like 800%.
There is much publicly available on this.

Noted. Now we only have to find a way to get the decision makers to listen. But they seem to be hard of hearing lately. Too much honey in one ear, too may dollar bills in the other.

This has gone on for far to long. Fracking needs to be banned globally. Surely the greed of the Oil Companies & those they support cannot win over the welfare/health of the people in our country?

To Cathe - Greed has already won over he welfare/health of the people, and not just in America...take a look at Canada, Indonesia, Phillipines, Asia, especially China...This is what we fight.

The countries' welfare is based on greed, money money money.
Some countries go to war in order to maintain their welfare.
