Millions felt the pain of furloughs and loss of services. A major ratings agency, Fitch, put U.S. credit on a warning list. Our economic recovery may have slowed or even ground to a halt.

Ted Cruz is (allegedly) fighting against government spending and debt, yet he didn't give a second thought to spending billions of taxpayer dollars on his most recent ego trip. He needs to find another line of work. We can't afford him, and most of us despise him anyway.

When he recruited the likes of Sarah Palin to get our veterans riled up with their ridiculous lies at the veterans' monuments in Washington, I knew he would stop at nothing to get attention. He disrespected our veterans by lying to them and getting an equally egotistical and attention-hungry tea-bagger to join him in his efforts. How do such dishonest and despicable people earn enough votes to get elected to public office?

Signed and noted.

I heard this on MSNBC and I thought this was just as appropriate for today's audiences as it was in 1653. While reading this picture Oliver Cromwell addressing the republicans in the House and Senate.

“It is high time for me to put an end to your sitting in this place, which you have dishonored by your contempt for all virtue, and defiled by your practice of every vice. You are a factious crew, and enemies to all good government. You are a pack of mercenary wretches. … Is there a single virtue remaining among you? Is there one vice you do not possess? You have no more religion than my horse. Gold is your God. Which of you have not bartered your conscience for gold? Is there a man amongst you who has the least care for the good of the country? You sordid prostitutes, you have defiled this sacred place … and turned it into a den of thieves by your immoral principles and wicked practices. You have grown intolerably odious to the entire nation. You who were deputed by the people to address the country’s problems are now the problem. … In the name of God, get out of here!”

Signed ,However. I think that all should be aware that Cruz will relish ANY comments, positive or Negative.
He is the quintssential EGOTIST !He LOVES to hear and see his name wherever it may be.
He would be devastated to not his name anywhere ,not TV,Social media or print. This "man" is just madly in love with himself. !Maybe we should just ignore him for now.
Love the quote from the original "Round Head." thank you R Tomlinson.

Ty Cal. Signed. Each and every genuine person of "We The People" should sign this petition. . .

"Authoritarianism is not well understood and seldom discussed in the context of American government and politics, yet it now constitutes the prevailing thinking and behavior among conservatives."

"Empirical studies reveal that authoritarians are frequently enemies of freedom, anti-democratic, anti-equality, highly prejudiced, mean-spirited, power hungry, Machiavellian, and amoral. They are also often conservatives without conscience." ―John Wesley Dean, III, White House Counsel to U.S. Pres. Richard Nixon

“Social conservatism and neoconservatism have revived authoritarian conservatism, and not for the better of conservatism or American democracy. True conservatism is cautious and prudent. Authoritarianism is rash and radical. American democracy has benefited from true conservatism, but authoritarianism offers potentially serious trouble for any democracy. ”― John W. Dean, Conservatives Without Conscience

My system, and the Daily Kos do not mesh well.
I will check out Jim's petitions.
If you find a petition that allows you to add your own comment, ask Cruz who he was/is working for? Perhaps the Insurance industry, which stands to gain mucho dinero from Obamacare, I believe, but would rather not allow the government to get a toehold on regulating it.
