Oil and gas development is polluting our water and air, heating the planet and delaying the development of clean energy. On Saturday a global movement will unite against it.

Thank you for the important news, Cal. I hope everyone reads the article and heeds the warning. It's up to us. We can do nothing or we can take action. I hope everyone shares the article to help spread awareness. (n, p, t)

Yes the world has to start standing together on this If France can ban it so can everyone There are a lot of places already mapped out in UK to do fracking If there is any action anywhere near me in the future i will join it so will my friends No one wants this only the politicians and the companies as its all about them getting loads of money
Thanks Cal

Noted and so true. No more fracking anywhere. Why does man continue to destroy what we have? Thanks for posting.

I was in today, with about 3499 others in MontÚlimar, a 33 000 town in France halfway between Lyon and Marseille.

Not as numorous as a few years ago in Villeneuve de Berg when we were 23 000, but for a mid-october saturday with 5 other gatherings in the country, and just a few days after he supreme court validated the law prohibiting hydrophilic fracturing (fracking) not a bad number.

I'ts up to you now America!

In fact, what I meant by saying that for "just a few days after the the supreme court validated the law prohibiting hydrolic fracturing (fracking)" I didn't mean that the fight here in France is over, just that "the general public" tends to think so, and therefore is far less motivated than before.

BUT the fight is far from over, as only the HYDROLIC fracturing is prohibited, not all the other ways of fracturing (high-pressured gas, sand or whatever method they come up with). And not only that, there are loopholes in the law that might make it possible to do testing with hydrolic fracturing.

And as -even more disturbing- in politics everything always remains possible due to "changing situations" the battle never will be over.

Which is a pity.

Poor planet Earth! (as long as there'll be human beings with lot's of money and no brains....)
