Perhaps because they are working WITH the system instead of fighting it...the states that are doing this are all doing well. Other states should pay close attention...

I think that's nice. Only thing is, when is Oregon going to cut Monsanto?

Places that have there own exchanges are doing well. People are discovering that Obamacare is a big improvement over the current health care system. Even in a red state like Kentucky people are signing up. It's great to see.

As more and more people discover that the GOP is nothing but a bunch of liars, they will be marginalized.

Do everything you can to make the 2014 election all about Obamacare... it's a big win for the Democrats.

Very encouraging, hopefully those States that haven't signed up for Obama's extended Medicaid program will do so soon. The benefits of a healthy population shouldn't be under-estimated.

Thanks for posting, Cal.

250,000 people informed, 56,000 signed up, and a total population close to 4 million. 56,000 out of 4 million and it reduces the uninsured rate 10%? So it was only 14% and now it's 12.6% (liberals might not be able to do maths, but conservatives can). Impressive ....

The thugs won't like this news and on faux they probably won't even report it, they are too busy fooling the foolish with their lies that Obamacare care is a train wreck. Thanks Cal.

A hole McConnell just said on face the nation that oregon has signed up zero people.

They NOW claim why it's a train wreck. Because the web site is down? What was the reason before 10/1 then?

Once they get past the lies and distortions and get the hackers and those anti-insurance hackers to stop plugging up the lines, more people will be able to get insurance. But there is still time to sign up. Congratulations to those who are able to get health care for the first time. This is just the beginning of the ACA, improvements can be added as we have people in Congress interested in keeping and improving the ACA.

There are people who can't afford it.

Do they buy food or pay Obama Care?

You know what, that could make Obummer Care even more expensive.

"“We still have a ways to go, but in reducing our uninsured rate by 10 percent in just two weeks, we’re showing what’s possible when a state is committed to fundamentally changing the health care system to provide better access, better health and lower costs.”" Gov John Kitzhaber (D)

Oregon has the right attitude!

@ Zee K --- I venture to say that many of those who can't afford Obamacare are people living in red states where state governments have gone out of their way to obstruct --- not taking the extension to medicaid, not operating the exchanges properly or putting rules in place to inhibit the working of the exchange, keep adding!
