Hope they survive. The people that hunted them to extinction are still there, though. Time will tell.

I feel the same, its wonderful of course, we can only hope it wont happen again...time will tell, lets hope that the generation who is there now feel differently towards the Gorillas and will look out for them.
Thanks Cal!

CRIKEY, I WISH THEY COULD PROTECT THEM WITH ELECTRIC FENCES,
OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT, BUT, AS THE GORILLAS ARE FREE ROAMING,
THAT WILL BE VERY DIFFICULT !
THEY COVER A LOT OF GROUND TOO, IN THEIR SEARCH FOR THE
BEST FRUIT TREES, NUH, IT'S JUST NOT POSSIBLE, TO PROTECT
THEM COMPLETELY, FROM POACHERS & HUNTERS !

IF ONLY THE LOCAL PEOPLE COULD BE EDUCATED, INTO REALIZING
THAT THEY MAKE GD MONEY FROM TOURISTS, BUT, ONLY WHEN THE
GORILLAS, ARE ALIVE, THEN THEY WILL PROTECT THEM TOO !

Thank you! I've seen this before, but I found it just as moving as the first time I saw it. The tenderness between them brought me to tears once again. Be sure to watch the video with the sperm whale being freed from the fishing net. It makes my weep every time I see it as well, but I'm also filled with such joy to see her freed and able to leap high out of the water. What a beauty she is to behold!

Like Bryna, I cried when I viewed this the first time (Dec., 2012) and again just now. It is deeply touching and confirms the reason why we here on Care2 fight "to be a voice for the voiceless."
