Never liked his music actually. And his collaboration with Metallica was plainly horrible. RIP anyway.

Like Gloria, I was lucky enough to see The Velvet Underground. It was at Glastonbury in 1993. Magisterial!

Lou Reed will be missed. Lou was too much of a cerebral musician to have been appreciated in his early days.
I have several of his LP albums including Nico's too.
Will need to look for them and play them one of these days.
Yes, i still play LPs on a nice turntable. lol.
Sounds on LPs play warmer than those from a CD.

Every time I hear about Lou Reed I think of the white album with the banana. he sang the song heroin which was a very cool song in the 60's.
