Kinda simple actually, in a "perfectly ordered society" that China strives to be, attacks like that do not happen. Therefore, it did not happen.

They seem to be oblivious to the fact that the information gets out to the rest of the world, and we KNOW when they are lying to their own people.

this islam terror thrives on attention; the dragon is not going to give this irritation too much... If the world big 3 united hard against these cultist nations it would be over very quickly... but they play off each other....this will only end in the last days.

Directives from on high (censorship instructions) are common among all corrupt and crippling governments. At least such events get out in late-night news media, on weekends, and off hours, when no one's paying particular attention. So much for freedom.

It seems like they did a pretty good job suppressing the news.

The security failure, to detect the threat before it happen and prevent it being carried out in the first place, is clearly too embarrassing...

So they can keep controlling their people. Thanks for sharing, Cal.

Why China is downplaying its deadly Tiananmen Square attack? China, Russia, North Korea, etc. would never admit that they are not in control of their own countries. In this case they can brainwash their people better.

because they don't want the protests to catch on with the rest of the country, then they are in trouble. But like the rest of the world including the US, no government likes protests and it seems to be getting worse by the day/week/month/year

Because they care less about their own. Sad. Hopefully soon, they will pay for their lies. Thanks Cal

Censorship of the outside world is paramount to the communist party they would rather have their people live in complete ignorance of what is going on around them.I came across an example of this fairly recently when I met two Chinese students who were attending the University of Dundee studying mechanical engineering.During the conversation I mentioned the troubles in Burma and was met by a blank look they then asked me what I was talking about and I said to them probably they would know Burma under a different name Myanmar and they then told me they had never heard of either country. When I told them it was one country bordering their own country I was met with looks of disbelief. The ignorance shown by these students attending a University was shocking.
