In another Governor race, big congratulations to Governor Christie and his sweeping 60% to 38% victory in New Jersey of all places.

The reds are turning blue. Just like their ideologies predicted. People can only take so much crazy.

It was too close for comfort, but a win is a win is a win.

What I find interesting is that McAuliffe's republican opponent blamed everyone but himself and his political philosophy..

The Virginia win was/is wonderful. And, Robert, T., that is part of the problem with the Teabaggers, they have no awareness of their impact on others...they "know" that they are right (LOL). At this point, I think thatis a good thing, as they will continue to show themselves as the asses they really are.

Governor Christie led a campaign of nothing but lies, he has a great PR team, painting him as some kind of hero to the rest of the country:Bullshit.
Buono may have been a credible candidate, but, so the story goes, the Democratic Party abandoned her some time ago. Perhaps they thought they ought not spend money on a lost cause, but she did quite well under those circumstances, so perhaps it was not a lost cause.

E-Voting Trouble Reported During Today's Elections in Virginia, New York, and Elsewhere
And how to maximize the likelihood of your vote actually being counted and counted accurately...
By BRAD FRIEDMAN on 11/5/2013, 12:30pm PT
These tweets are from Col. Morris Davis, the former Chief Prosecutor at Gitmo, on how things went for him today as he was trying to vote in Virginia…

Took 4 tries to vote for McCauliffe. I'd touch his name but it would mark Cuccinelli. Had to touch above the name to get mark in right box.
In another tweet, Davis notes that he "voted in Buckland Precinct in Prince William County, Virginia," and then noted to others that he "Hope[s] voters will double check their ballots before pushing submit to make sure they're right."

It is amazing how someone as horrible as Christie has a good name in a normally semi rational state. He must have a fantastic bunch of PR people. The only good thing about him is that he's not quite a Tea Twit.

Good news still exists.

Thank Cal!

And of course: thanks to all of you who voted for him!

A win by only 3% could easily be redefined as a "squeak". With all the extra circular input by Obama, whose base continues to fracture, and the Clintons (with Bill obsessed with an end-of-life return to the White House through Hilliary in 2016 ... and so still carrying Obama's baggage in spite of himself), believe the winds of tide are rapidly changing ... stay tuned.
