The statement that *people like the bright colors* is absolutely true! The best selling brands in America? Kibbles and Bits, Beneful, Butcher's Blend, Kit N Kaboodle..........
Most Purina brands are highly nutritious, additive-free foods. Your pet doesn't give a hoot what color the food is, so stick with the good stuff.

It never made any sense to me. Let food be food. The longer the pet (or person for that matter, since they do it with human food too) lives, the longer they can be a cash cow for the company. Why kill your profit?

I haven't bought Purina or anything like it in many years. my animals eat expensive food. They put this stuff in becauseI-Science Diet is also crap but the vets and the company have some sort of deal going. IAMS and Eukanuba test on animals so forget that one too.If you eat well (and even if you don't) your animals deserve healthy food without chemicals, by products and anything else that isn;t real or good.

I stopped buying Purina years ago, I now use Blue Buffalo dryfood & a tablespoon of wetfood, it is so much better for dogs, its holistic, lots of vitamins, herbs, omega 3's, veggies, chicken or lamb. All made in the USA manufactured & packaged. Nothing but good things. My dog is going to be 13 yrs old and she still has a lot of puppy in her, I would say she is doing much better with this food her teeth are also good. She is extremely healthy according to my Vet.

She is as good as dogs half her age.
We walk everyday about a mile, she is a small poodle 17 lbs.

If you buy a good food, you might find less Vet visits it pays off in the end. I buy it in Petco.

This is absolutely insane! Doesn't Purina care:
a) about the safety of their products, &
b) the health of the animals consuming their products?
Why should they contaminate animal food products with carcinogens? It makes no sense.
Their stupidity has really upset me....

Signed & noted, thanks Cal for posting.
