I signed a long time ago and have passed this around a few times. Is a shame we can get in a day or two over 500 signatures for a dog yet when it comes to a human being this petitions is only at 478.

I've written to Gregory in prison over the holidays and he sent back the most loveliest of card to me. All handmade and had a lion on it, for the Dandelion. He also wrote me a lovely note inside.

Drug issues and drug problems should never be handled by jail or prison time, he needed medical help and a lot of counseling due to his abuse as a child. He was given alcohol and drugs by his own Mother and her pimp on a daily basis and signed out of school in grade 7 and tossed into the streets to fend for himself.

Gregory committed a series of robberies which, all combined, netted no more than $23.00. Most importantly, no violence was committed and no one was harmed or injured by his actions.

He has served 17 years for this under the 3 strikes law he has life without parole. Is that Justice? I think not.

I'm sorry this very important petition got linked to the minimum wage one which I also signed.

Thank you for standing with me in our fight to raise the minimum wage to $10.10 an hour. Raising the minimum wage will support our working families and make the economy stronger for all of us.
