TAKE ACTION NOW! Nordstrom: Say No to Cruelty, Stop Selling Fur

Animals  (tags: animalwelfare, animals, animaladvocates, animalcruelty, protection, dogs, wildanimals, wildlife )

Please join us in opposition to the torture and murder of 50 million animals a year by the fur industry. Nordstrom profits off the sale of fur even though their CEO Blake Nordstrom claims that the Nordstrom family likes animals.

It is distressing to see that those people who care the most about the happiness of non-human animals are only concerned about some. Fur is not the only material that causes immense suffering, but others are seemingly of secondary importance, barely ever mentioned. In many cases those who are unappealing to us have the purest of hearts! May they find happiness and equanimity in the afterlife!

Should we pander to the whim of the few who wish to wear fur, when there are non-lethally obtained animal fibres like wool, or plant-fibres like cotton and hemp, and indeed many man-made textiles, which arguably have superior qualities, all of which make excellent clothing options? Fur farming is anachronistic and cruel, e.g. the fear of the pictured fox is obvious, it should be consigned to history!

Production of fur in Norway is grotesque . Activist break in the farms and take videos of foxes and mink with missing limbs and terrible wounds..it makes me sick, and now we have new government that protects this business ...

Noted and signed, against this unnecessary cruelty to animals.

But it is the consumers who buy fur who must change their habits first; Nordstrom will go out of business if they do! Protests are usually addressed to fur farmers and sellers, but it is demand that predetermines supply -- boycott!

This cruelty is not only on a large scale but the people involved don't seem to have any compassion towards these creatures. They are taken and held in squalid conditions, till there time is up. U.s. people need to know what goes into making that fur coat they have always dreamed of. Animals that are battered, bludgeoned, and other horrific acts, but the one that screams out at me is the skinning alive. They do this without a care daily. China seriously has to get more government control on this! It's pure evil these people do. They have to be wired up wrong, not money alone can drive you to this, i'm not buying it! Sign & share x

N & S there are so many levels to the barbaric and cruel usage of ANY innocent animal fur.
1. The "designers" who make asinine fashion statements by designing any piece of clothing using any fur!
2. The insecure women who wear clothing to prove their social/financial status and their supposed fashionable lifestyle.
3. The stores who willingly sell any product with furs, be they fur coats to anything with animal furs. Also include pillows made with down feathers or rabbit fur.
4. The Nordstrom family vaunts itself for being good Mormons, i. e. LDS church members just like mittens moneyr Romney, yes the 47% sayer!
5. Lastly and most importantly the two legged supposed humans who own the killing machine factories and those who do the cruel killing.
I do not buy from nordies, nor any designer who use fur in their design work. Ultimately these designers are the ones who are most responsible for this needless carnage. What infuriates me most is the fact that most name designers are gay and they want equality etc.... Yet they do not extend that to these poor innocent animals. I am very pro gay, but come on you can use your artistic vision to set the humane trend for humane fashion.

It is unclear to me where Nordstrom lives. It sounds Scandinavian but maybe he is American.
Here is some photoes from fur farms in Norway.
I do not know if the foxes eat on their own legs or they are bitten off by other foxes, but I can not understand that fur production is legal simply because it gives jobs to persons living in our rural areas.
