New research shows that outside spending has had a big impact on judicial races , raising concerns about state judges' ability to remain impartial in a political world where hefty chunks of campaign cash can make or break elections.

Noted. Thanks, Cal. Yeah, more bad news. But, the good news is that is working to overturn Citizens United with an amendment. Over a dozen states have already signed on, as well as several communities around the U.S. I went to a local meeting of the group here several months ago, and am receiving their mailings....they plan another local meeting here soon, and the number of volunteers around the country are growing as word spreads. They also have a petition you can sign at their website.

Which government isn't corrupt nowadays? They all work only for the big corporations, and not for us.

Thanks Cal for the link to the article by Mr. Ludwig. The last line in the article provides some hope :'Since 2010, 16 states and hundreds of local municipalities have called for a constitutional amendment to overturn the Supreme Court's Citizens United decision.'. Read and noted.

Greed is so pervasive and destructive for all.

Thanks for such important news, Cal! our government has been for sale for eons, so one would have no doubt that our "justice" system is as well. Don't you just love having a country run by and for corporations? (n, p, t)

Knowing that 85 people in the world have the same amount of wealth as 3.5 billion people, I believe it's safe to say that corporations run the whole world which is horrific.

It seems that money can buy anything these days even so called justice.
