Wonder if it's the GMO feed or the chicken crap that's causing it...maybe all the antibiotics...or a combo. Maybe if they go grass it'll clear up?

LMAO! "Yes, you read that right." (Cuz I really wondered.)

Do cows pollute as much as cars?
"Agriculture is responsible for an estimated 14 percent of the world's greenhouse gases. A significant portion of these emissions come from methane, which, in terms of its contribution to global warming, is 23 times more powerful than carbon dioxide. The U.S. Food and Agriculture Organization says that agricultural methane output could increase by 60 percent by 2030 [Source: Times Online]. The world's 1.5 billion cows and billions of other grazing animals emit dozens of polluting gases, including lots of methane. Two-thirds of all ammonia comes from cows."

Uhhhhhhh . . . so what about the other 86%?  (Could some of it be caused by fracking?)

Thanks for a thought-provoking article, Cal!

Intriguing, there are a ton of cows around the world in various farms. Rarely do we hear about cow farts blowing the roof off a building. It mentions a shed, not a barn which fascinates me. What happened there, someone forget to install ventilation? Totally bizarre.

Of course, one has to wonder about the methane output if one should suddenly arrive at a GOP Convention.

I gotta admit i was cracking up when i 1st heard this--just too funny. Now if only-somehow our gassy cows could blow the roofs off every slaughterhouse+factory farm. Thc Cal

THanks Carole, I appreciate your insights here. A little levity isn't a bad thing, is it?
