Thanks Cal for the link to the article by Ms. Culp-Ressler. Another reason GOP politicians must be thrown out of office, not just in these 10 states but nationwide, and not just at the state level but the federal level also. Read and noted.

what I always have found so amazing is how many men are involved in anti-abortion groups, many are even run by men. I really believe men should wait unto they grow ovaries before they get involved with what is primarily a woman's right. Anti-abortionists see nothing wrong in killing doctors that give abortion, but it is wrong to have an abortion. These people are really sick, too much church going and brainwashing going on here.

As Dolly Parton would say "Here we go again." When, actually I believe never, will the do-gooders and the men of this world begin to realize that we women have the right to vote and the right to take care of our own bodies as we see fit. This means that we are not willing to remain pregnant, barefoot and in the kitchen for the rest of our lives. There are women who want to and more power to them, but we have fought for and have won the rights to our freedom and "here we go again" having to fight anew.

I wasn't aware that an unborn fetus was a living child. Wow. These people might want to take some biology classes.

All of them violate Roe-v-Wade which is still the law of the land and will all be found unconstitutional. They are a complete waste of taxpayer time and money, those fools know it and they should be able to be sued by their constituents to recover those ill spent dollars passing laws they know are "illegal" on their face is dereliction of duty by a public official in my opinion.

Did anyone read the comments on that site? There's a Jared something who posted several RW rants and when I looked at his FB page, his group is of course conservative RW teaabagger trash and he says he's a libertarian. He is nothing but an opinionated douchebag and ironically, the first part of his girlfriend's last name is douch....I kid you not. He's another one who wants the country run his way and that is controlling women's pregnancies. Thank you Gene and all the rest of the men here who support a woman's right to chose. You're REAL men, not like those so threatened by a woman they have to control her to be regarded in their minds as real men.

I will never understand how a bill to stop the murdering of innocent lives be dangerous!! What if there was a bill out there to stop the preservation of animals!? I could hear the howling and screaming now! The hypocrisy of some is so blatant it is sadly pathetic! In the mean time those who call for choice are actually calling for the right to murder the most indefensible and innocent young lives of HUMAN beings and yet the same one scream for justice for murdered ANIMALS!! Unbelievable!! Life begins at "conception!!"

Noted. Thanks, Cal. Gene's (above) got it absolutely right; and I do hope constituents sue them. And, I agree with 99% of the comments here, too. As a mom of 6, I've felt fortunate my entire adult life....since 1973, to have a choice. Although past menopause now, I will fight for that right to choose until the war is won. It's so unfortunate that women can't stick together on this. I'd even lend SOME bit of credibility to those who disagree, if they cared about the lives on those children after their birth. Yet, I can give none, since I will always believe this is a matter of health made individually between a woman and her physician. This is nobody else's business, so I say Let Roe v. Wade stand. I don't sleep in your bed, and you don't sleep in mine. If you want to make a REAL difference, advocate for those who are living and breathing on this planet.

Liberals will "fight" to save "puppies" and make sure that they are nurtured and adopted and placed in loving homes but when it comes to a human being, a baby, they will snuff out that life in a nano second and never look back. How many stories have you read where animal activists have aborted an entire litter of puppies? Puppies cost money. They have to have shots and be wormed. Human lives can be born and be adopted....just like puppies. Babies AND puppies can be adopted and go into the loving arms of those who want them.

What WE ARE really talking about here is that the liberals believe in unprotected sex and irresponsible adults who can't be bothered with slipping on a condom or taking birth control pills. Perhaps if we place these irresponsible adults in the same category as two animals fornicating and producing a litter of puppies who will be saved and adopted we can get on an even playing field.

I don't believe in abortion so I certainly do not want to pay for anyone's abortion. Want to have unprotected sex and not give a thought of the possibility of getting pregnant? Fine with me. I don't care what people do but don't expect the taxpayers to pay for your abortion. Pay for it yourself. Your choice. Your negligence. Your bill. I'd rather adopt four puppies than fund one abortion. There are millions of couples who cannot have children. Instead of murdering a baby give that baby a chance to live...just like the puppies and kittens. I see TV ads one after another promoting adopting puppies. Not one ad on adopting a human life.

Good to see that there are states still fighting to protect innocent human life. More power to them.

I know what you mean about the involvement of men in these prolife groups. Some of the ones I've encountered are HORRIBLE parents. No interest in their kids at all. Amazing actually.

The sooner you throw out these ratbag polies the better. I cannot understand why they have this fetish about women's' reproductive organs and how they are used..They are very confused boys..As I mentioned before it may have had something to do with their toilet training when they were little boys. They prattle about right to life yet they never quibble about felons who are murdered in the name of the law.I suppose it may be a matter of standards but I find executions infinitely worse than abortions.

Funny how the baggers claim to be "pro-life" when what they are is "anti-choice." They love guns which are for killing; they are pro-death penalty, most aren't vegetarian or vegan. Most are against birth control, and sex education in schools. Most are very pro-war. They are hypocrites in many ways.
They ONLY care about the fetus; once it is born they want nothing to do with it...let's cut food stamps, head start programs, medical care, etc. Let's shame the woman for her 'poor choices' and piss and moan about supporting programs to help her and her family.
NO one LIKES abortion. I believe that it is a woman's personal choice. Her body. Her life. HER choice is HER business. It's between her, her partner, her doctor, and her Higher Power. NO one else.
Don't like abortion? Don't have one.
I think the anti-choice people should 'adopt' a pregnant woman. Pay for her medical bills. Help her with the children she may already have. If she experiences a difficult pregnancy and cannot work, help her buy food, pay the bills, and the rent. When the baby is born, adopt him or her!
If adoption was such an easy solution then WHY are there millions of unwanted babies and children sitting in orphanages around the world?!
I love how the anti-choice people claim to know the circumstances behind every pregnancy and abortion...who the hell are THEY? GOD?!! Maybe they think they are; but they do not have the right to place THEIR religious views on anyone!

More of that "it's my body" bull. Fine, get a tattoo, sell a kidney, get silicone implants, ride without a seatbelt, or a motorcycle helmet, be a pothead or an alcoholic or kill yourself, it is your body after all, but don't pretend that you are not killing another human being when you choose to have an abortion, your own child for God's sake. Maybe you can find forgiveness down the road somewhere for that act of murder. Or maybe you're content to join the ranks of all those other illustrious folks who made peace with themselves by simply using the excuse that what they were killing was not wholly human, subhuman as in slaves, Natives, Jews, whoever it was convenient to kill or subjugate at the time. Do it if you want but don't lie to yourself or the rest of us in order to soothe your conscience into the false belief that you are not a killer.

Abortion is not murder..How very ignorant to say such things..Or to suggest that liberals want unprotected sex,,
Seriously..so sad to see those things being thrown around..

It is a woman's choice..and should stay that way..

Thanks for the news story Cal..

Is the GOP really in the best position to judge what a person is? I mean they easily confuse Corporations with living, breathing people outside of the womb. If they can't get that right, Just sayin'!
