Seems like they ought to amend that 1936 Montreaux convention to restrict dangerous materials???

What people don't realise is:
The Bosphorus in no wider than many rivers, and very twisty (look at the map! Bosphorus - Google image)
The currents can be quite tricky - they change during the day
The boat traffic is heavy .... both ways, and with very large ships, mainly cargo, as well as ferries that serve as a bus service to villages all the way up the Bosphorus ...

The risks to the large population along its shores if a serious incident occured with dangerous cargo .. terrifying idea ..............
